5 Places to get Deals on Art Supplies

I am rather frugal by nature so I naturally have a hard time spending an arm and a leg on products that my kids use for a brief period of time. The kids will forget to put the lid back on, they used it up in record speed, or they accidentally spilled it all over the table while they were using it (because they are their mother’s children). I am a lot more likely to spend more money on a laptop, heat press or something that is a “income producing asset” (I’m starting to sound like my husband with farming…

5. DOLLAR TREE (or respective dollar stores) –

I don’t often use Dollar stores for objects that I use in my Etsy shop, make for orders, or supply for my life workshops. But they are AMAZING using for projects around the house, for gifts for others, or for projects that my kids are completing.

4. GARAGE SALES

Seriously you never know what you can find, especially one year to the next. If you are visiting a garage sale that has a lot of crafting materials, make sure you also check the free boxes if they have some.

3. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN AT 2ND HAND STORES

One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Prices can be a great deal, or crazy expensive so it is great to know your prices.

2. CLEARANCE RACK

Keep your eyes open from Dollar General, Target, Hobby Lobby and more. You never quite know what you will find so know your prices, and be willing to make an impulse decision.

1. USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE.

This one is probably the least obvious, but the largest way to save, using what you already have saves money by using what you have instead of acquiring more or spending more money.

Honorable mentions

  • Sign up for email lists.
  • Check out the ad
  • Combine coupons
  • Get the ap, or check out their website
  • Price compare (some stores will honor other competitors great deal).
  •  – Be patient – by not making impulsive decisions you can save up for an item, wait for it to lose popularity, or decide you no longer need the item.
